Parent/Guardian Code of Conduct

By registering with St. Andrews Gymnastics, all parents/guardians agree to the following:

1. Treat Others with Respect

  • Treat all athletes, coaches, volunteers, school staff, and other families with courtesy and respect.
  • Demonstrate patience, understanding, and positive communication at all times.
  • Support you child's participation with out coaching from the sidelines or interrupting class.

This standard extends to in-person interactions, email, texting, and all social media platforms.

2. Support a Safe & Positive Environment

  • Speak positively about all athletes, coaches, clubs, and the sport of gymnastics.
  • Refrain from negative comments, gossip, or discussions that may harm others or create a hostile environment - whether in person or online.
  • If you have concerns, bring them directly to your child's coach, the Head Coach, or the Program Director.

We encourage respectful conversations rather than public informal criticism.

3. Respect the Facility & Follow School Expectations

Because we operate inside St. Andrews School, Parents/guardians must:

  • Enter and exit only through the designated gym doors.
  • Keep other children and family members out of school hallways, classrooms, and restricted areas.
  • Keep outdoor shoes at the entrance and help maintain a clean, safe space.
  • Never enter the gym during class time unless permission as been granted for special circumstances.

4. Ensure your Child arrives prepared

Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring athletes:

  • Arrive 5-10 mins before class, ready to participate.
  • Wear appropriate attire.
  • Bring a water bottle.
  • Are promptly Picked up at the end of class.

5. Communicate Important Information

  • Inform coaches of any medical concerns, injuries, allergies, limitations, or medications.
  • Keep your contact information updated on uplifter account and check email regularly.
  • Notify us if your child will be absent or if concerns arise that may affect their training experience.

6. Promote Health & Safety

  • Keep your child home is they are experiencing Flu or COVID like, or contagious cold symptoms.
  • Understand coaches may remove a gymnast from class if they pose a safety rick to themselves or others.
  • Support your child's wellbeing by encouraging rest, hydration, and a positive mindset.

Your cooperation helps create a space where every child can learn, grow, and enjoy the sport of gymnastics.
